Tips for the dog

Does your dog come when you call him, the first time and all the time? No? Well, try this. Call your dog for no reason at all. Say his name first, then the command in a big, happy voice. When he comes, tell him what a clever fellow he is, give him a treat, then tell him to go play. The dog will learn to associate the sound of his name and the command with only happy things. Do not call your dog for anything he perceives as being unpleasant, such as having his nails done.

The Difference

Aren't all dog foods and dog treats more or less the same? Isn't marketing the only difference between Product "A" and Product "Z"?

Well, if you've ever tried feeding your dog a cheaper dog food or dog treat, only to find that he has started to look less himself, more lethargic, even ill, then you know that there is a difference.

Unlike the vast majority of pet food manufacturers, whose products contain animal by-products and perservative- and/or chemical-laced additives, thedog8it! uses only the highest quality ingredients. Here's how we're different:

  • We use third-party certified organic ingredients, including the finest organic grains from the most reputable mills
  • We use the best quality animal protein, not just skin and bones and by-products
  • We use natural spring water, imported from Central Newfoundland
  • We don't use expired product
  • Our modified atmospheric packaging preserves freshness and maintains quality
  • We listen to customers and respond with outstanding service

And there's more. We are continually striving to make our products even better, and we are actively pursuing a program that will help our customers understand what the differences are and what they mean for you and your companion animal.
